Accessories

Hey everyone:)
So here's a post on some of my favourite accessories at the moment and the ones I wear just about everyday, and also what I wore to the party I was at on Saturday.

So this is definitely one of my favourite rings at the moment. I always seem to wear it on the index finger of my left hand, it's heartshaped and has a little glass outer covering over a floral pattern. It was from Accessorize and I can't remember how much it cost exactly but my guess is around £6. They still sold this last time I was in the store. The only problem I had with this ring is that it left a blue/green mark on your skin (as fake metal does) but I fixed this by painting the inside with nail polish, and no more ugly green marks:).

This is another favourite of mine, it was a present for my Christmas and came from a little boutique in a mall near where I live, they sell some absolutely gorgeous things in that store. Anyway, this was a little pricier due to its size and this one is real metal, so I don't need to worry about any marks. I really love the unusual design and I think every girl needs one or two oversized rings in their collection:). I always get compliments when I wear this one.

This was another gift, this one from my friend at Christmas. It was from H&M and they have it in a couple of different colours I think, however this is my favourite. It's painted specially so that each side shows up a different colour in the light. The outside is mostly blues, greens, pinks and peaches, and the inside is a vibrant purple. I'm so happy I was given this as it's not something I'd have ever picked up for myself, but I absolutely love it and it looks gorgeous with every outfit, so thanks to the person who got me this!:)

Not the best picture but the picture below may offer something better of it, this necklace is large and chunky, but was only £2.50 from Primark. It's a gold chain and ribbon with a bow and I think it makes an outfit look very cute. I do have several necklaces I favour more than this but I thought I would mention it seeing as it was such good value for money!

This is essentially what I wore to the party. It's a peach jumper with a front panel of white lace and some high waisted black shorts from H&M. I also wore the Primark necklace with this as you can see, but the rest of the outfit which is not included in this picture was:
- a pair of lace tights from River Island
- the two rings & bangle in this post
- a black thin belt with gold studs which I wore just below my hips
- a pair of white quilted shoes with black toes and a chain&ribbon running across the front from Primark:) I would have worn some black high wedges from H&M but the host didn't want us to wear high shoes indoors!

I'm going to see Lady Gaga at the SECC tomorrow and still don't know what to wear, I dont actually have that much time to get changed after school & do my hair and makeup as I'm going out with my dad who's just back from Australia. I also have some interview at school tomorrow about continuing my education next year which I've been dreading, and I've been called for a job interview at La Senza on thursday! Really no idea what to expect as my last job didn't require an interview, I'll just need to do the best I can.
Goodnight for now:)

Drugstore Mini Haul: Part 2

Hello peeps:)
So here's the rest of my drugstore haul I promised you..

The two lipsticks I got from Rimmel; Pink Blush and Nude Delight.
I love these lipsticks, even though they're from different ranges they are both so moisturising. I have 5 lipsticks from Rimmel which I use at the moment and even the darkest colours feel like borderline lip balms. Both are really pigmented and slightly scented, which for me is good, I have a thing a
bout lipsticks smelling yummy haha. So far my favourite of the two is Pink Blush (the pink one) as it is a matte Barbie pink colour. Nude Delight is actually a fairly unusual colour unlike one I've ever used before, so I'm looking forward to experimenting with it. Swatches are further down this post.

Gosh were doing an amazing offer which I couldn't say no to, as I mentioned in my previous post, it was buy any 2 Gosh products and get the Light N Shine Lip Glaze free. I chose number 04 which is your standard pink lipgloss, but it has gorgeous pink, gold, green and blue shimmers through it. Although I usually like my lipglosses to give a good hint of colour, I like this lipgloss despite its tendancy to be more sparkley than pigmented (although this might not be the case with other shades). It smells sweet and for those of you who haven't came across this gloss before, the packaging is amazing. It comes with a mirror and lights in the lid to help you apply it in dark places, which I love haha, so I'm glad I got this. Swatches are below.

From left to right: Gosh Lip Glaze, Rimmel Lasting Finish Pink Blush, Rimmel Moisture Renew Nude Delight.

I was running low on powder so I got this one from Rimmel, it was the 'brightening' that drew me in. The packaging includes a mirror and a sponge underneath. I'd say this powder was quite full coverage so rather than use the sponge to really pack it on I'll use a fluffy face brush to apply it over my foundation, as lots of powder tends not to sit well with my skin texture.

And finally probably my all-round favourite thing from this haul is the Gosh Nail Lacquer in 045 Silk. I absolutely love the colour of this. At first it's quite a translucent peachy/neutral pink, so I used 3 coats of this on my nails and I love the final result. The colour looks fresh on and I think it's a gorgeous wearable dolly/baby pink colour. I've had this on the past couple of days and have no chips at all, so far so good! I'll definitely be buying more of these in the future.

That's all for just now, I think I have my outfit sorted for a party I'm going to this Saturday so I'll try and get some pictures and blog about that later today. Thanks guys x

Wishlist

I looove this seasons trends, pretty pastels and neutrals.
The peach jumper I actually own, I love wearing it! Keeps me nice and warm too:). I'm going to a few parties in the next couple of weeks because exams are over, so I need to start thinking about what to wear. Polyvore is always good for some inspiration & I am dying to own the three OPI polishes, unfortunately I'm yet to find anywhere near where I live that actually sells a good range of them. A few places have them but only a range of about 5 red shades. I might have to take to ebay..

Drugstore Mini Haul: Part 1

Hey everyone:)
I went shopping at the weekend and picked up a few things from Boots and Superdrug, I'll quickly run through the first couple of items now and finish the haul later when my lightings better for pictures. (Its been snowing all day, so its pretty dark and cloudy outside)

From left to right: Rimmel Renew & Lift Brightening Power In 100 Ivory; Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 700 Nude Delight; Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 006 Pink Blush; Gosh Light 'N Shine Lip Glaze in 04; Gosh Touch Up Concealer in No 1; Gosh Nail Lacquer in 045 Silk; Rimmel Colour Mousse in 014 Mermaid

Rimmel had a 3 for 2 offer on in boots, and in Superdrug Gosh were doing an offer of buy any 2 products and get the Light 'N Shine Lip Glaze free. So of course I said yes to that opportunity:).

First of all the colour mousse. Initially I (niavely) thought these would be similar in consistancy to the Mac paint pots. They're a lot thicker and moussier (duh) in texture, which I guess I should have known. I noticed they also have a slight watery feel to them, but I actually like this as it makes the colour much more buildable and easier to blend. If you do build the colour up, the final result is extremely pigmented and probably not something you'd wear every day, I really like this nonetheless. I think theyre good quality for money and an interesting alternative to powders and cream eyeshadows:). (They also don't smudge after they've set on the skin which is great seeing how I always seem to end up with eye makeup all over my face, attractive!)

I'm really happy I bought this concealer. They only have it in two shades and I got the lightest of the two. This concealer is lovely, it blends nicely and doesn't apply too thick and cakey or too sparce. It stays nicely throughout the day and does help brighten shadowy areas of the face. A little of this goes a long way.

I'll return later with the rest of this haul:).

New Blog

Felt like a change, I can be infuriatingly indecisive haha.
But I like this blog more, hopefully everyone else will too. I'm going to continue working on the layout for now, while watching deal or no deal :) Looking forward to more posts in the near future
